So what happens when you take an orange-loving tennis player
who is working on a degree in Exercise Physiology and you introduce him to a
tie-dye-loving almost-hippie working on a degree in Organismal Biology? You get
a love that is colorful, exciting, and fun!
And the wedding of the two should be no different!
Matt
and I
got engaged on the eve of our three-year anniversary. When I started
with the
wedding plans, I knew that I didn’t want a “traditional” wedding for the
most
part, save for a few things. I wanted a white wedding dress with a
train, and I
wanted a wedding cake. But even those things I wanted to be different
from your
average wedding attire and food. I have loved
every minute of planning despite the stress (and sometimes angry
frustration)
that has come along with it. This is me (and occasionally Matt)
chronicling our story about the planning of one of the biggest days of
our lives.
My
plan for this blog is to share not only what we did, but also HOW and
even WHY we did it. From here, I will be divulging the secrets behind
the DIY and revealing the reasoning behind the things we chose to
include and the things we chose to leave out. I hope that this blog
will be something that other brides-to-be will find helpful and
entertaining. Happy reading! :)
